The 'Seoul Urban Mountaineering Tourism Center' provides a service to rent hiking boots and mountaineering clothes for foreign hikers who have made a reservation in advance by phone or through the website. Currently, the fee is free, but the laundry fee will be charged in the future.

On the day the reporter visited, many foreigners visited this place, renting mountaineering clothes and hiking boots, and taking commemorative photos in front of the large Bukhansan mountain installed in the center. Foreigners who visit this place for mountain climbing can keep their belongings in the locker for free, and can use the shower and changing rooms for free after climbing.

TJ Gochingco, a Filipino tourist who met on the site, said, "I think that Seoul's mountaineering clothing rental system is a very good service for foreigners who want to climb and it is a good system to encourage mountaineering."

Kim Seong-ho, who works as a security guard in Bukhansan as a civilian, advised, "There are a lot of foreigners who come to the mountain, but they don't know much about Korean mountains, so there is a high risk of a distress accident because they climb in too light clothes."

In addition, Won Jae-hyeong, who visits Mt. Bukhan almost every week, said, "Recently, the number of foreigners visiting Mt. Bukhan seems to be increasing." In order to support the safe hiking of foreign hikers and to utilize mountaineering as a tourism resource, the hiking boots and mountaineering clothing rental system of the Seoul City Mountaineering Tourism Center is said to be highly satisfied by foreigners.
